World-renowned baritone, graduated from the Academy of Music in Krakow. Winner of prestigious vocal competitions, including in Gütersloch (Neue Stimmen), Vienna (Belvedere), Munich (ARD Competition Grand Prix).
He performs on the stages of the most famous opera houses of international renown, among others, in New York (Metropolitan Opera), Milan (La Scala), Vienna (Wiener Staatsoper), Paris (Opéra Bastille), Brussels (La Monnaie), Amsterdam, Barcelona (Gran Teatre del Liceu), Los Angeles, Houston, Tokyo, St. Petersburg, Berlin (Komische Oper Staatsoper Deutsche Oper).
His tours also included Munich, Hamburg, Cologne and Leipzig. He has performed at festivals in Glyndebourne and Orange. The Great Theatre - National Opera saw his stage performances as the titular Simon Boccanegraand in Rigoletto as well as Germont in Verdi's La Traviata and Escamillo in Bizet's Carmen. He has performed under the baton of many distinguished conductors, among which the following names can be cited: Christian Thielemann, Colin Davis, Roger Norrington, Riccardo Chailly, Gary Bertini, Pinchas Steinberg, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Simone Young, Helmuth Rilling, Kazushi Ono, Stefan Soltész, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Vladimir Jurowski, Yakov Kreizberg, Riccardo Muti, Carlo Rizzi, Zubin Mehta, Valery Gergiev, Lorin Maazel, Daniel Barenboim, Semyon Bychkov.
Among his many artistic projects especially noteworthy is the debut at La Scala under the baton of Riccardo Muti (Verdi's Rigoletto and Il Trovatore) and a number of concerts during the festival Maggio Musicale Fiorentino under Zubin Mehta (Puccini's Tosca, Il Trovatore and Attila by G. Verdi). In 2007 he made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera and Avery Fisher Hall. The 2008 projects in which the singer participated included a worth mentioning debut on the stage of Covent Garden (Traviata). Moreover, in 2010 he was invited to participate in the projects to honour 60 years of artistic work of Daniel Barenboim and 100 years of Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires (Verdi's Aida, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony) and 200 years of independence of the Republic of Chile (Rigoletto). As impersonator of Verdi's roles he also appeared on the stage of the Opéra Bastille (Luisa Miller) and in Amsterdam (A Masked Ball) and in Hamburg (Macbeth). He received an invitation to participate in the staging of Szymanowski's King Rogerin St. Petersburg and Edinburgh, and in many opera works of Verdi such as Rigoletto, La Traviata (Hamburg, New York, Los Angeles), Simon Boccanegra (Toulouse), Stiffelio (New York). In 2013 he recorded the album "Arias", which won the Fryderyk Award in April 2014 in the category "Album of the Year - choral music, oratorio and opera music". In February 2015 he was given the German honorary title "Kammersänger", awarded to outstanding and meritorious opera singers. The Season 2017/2018 was marked by many events with the artist's participation, most of them based around staging of the works of Richard Strauss and Wagner (The Flying Dutchman at the opera houses of Dresden and Houston). In June 2019, the artist is going to play a part of Sharpless in Madam Butterfly by Puccini's staged at the Parade Square.
