Dionizy
Wincenty Płaczkowski

tenor

The artist began his music career as a treble soloist - he recorded seven albums and performed soprano solo parts in oratorios and operas at international festivals, on recognized stages and concert halls - including Terme di Caracalla in Rome or Concertgebouw in Amsterdam under the baton of such conductors as Daniel Oren and Edward Higginbottom.

Having completed his studies in the field of international relations he returned to singing as a tenor, continuing his vocal education in the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the class of Robert Gierlach.  Still a student, he sang the main tenor roles as the titular Orlando Paladino in Haydn's opera. In the last three seasons, he played the parts of Lensky in Onegin by Tchaikovsky in the Philharmonic Hall in Kielce, Carpathian Philharmonic in Rzeszów and on the small stage at the National Opera in Warsaw.  He performed numerous oratorios and other forms of music, for example. Mozart's Requiem, Stabat Mater by Haydn and Mendelssohn's Ave Maria. He played the part of Isaac written for him by the German composer Alois Späth in contemporary opera Abraham and Isaac being part of the show Confessor at the Studio Theatre in Warsaw. In recent seasons he has sung a very demanding tenor part in The Wedding by Igor Stravinsky in the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin. As of late he has registered Cavaradossi's aria for the soundtrack of the HBO series Blinded by the lights directed by K. Skonieczny, in which he also played a small role. During the summer he performed at the Tenors Opera Gala in the Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz and at the twentieth-anniversary Tournament of Opera Tenors at the Castle in Szczecin, where he received a special award "for the most beautiful singing tenor". He started the season 2018/2019 with a concert at the Festival "Ostrołęckie Operalia" organized by the artistic director of the Jan Kiepura Musical Theatre in Warsaw. In the coming months he is going to sing the part of Fernando in the Spanish opera Goyescas by Enrique Granados and a recital of songs and arias in Lubrański's Hall at Poznan Philharmonic for the Association of Hipolit Cegielski, from which he received the Medal of the Young Positivist.
